Black Box LPD501A Fast Ethernet (10/100TX) to Fiber Optic PoE Media Converter, ST, Multimode

Bridge long-distance Fast Ethernet fiber optic segments with Ethernet or Fast Ethernet copper cabling, all without the need for a local power supply. Because the LPD501A converter is compatible with 802.3af PoE standard, it draws its power via UTP cable connected to a PoE power source equipment (PSE). Link fault passthrough enhances the integrity of the copper and fiber links. Far-end fault detection keeps data from being sent over an invalid link. The LPD501A is a 10/100 multi-mode fiber media converter capable of communication up to 2 km. It features a standard ST fiber connector as well as the RJ45 Ethernet connector.
