Use to optically isolate one piece or local group of RS485 equipment from the rest of an RS485 system, or as a repeater to expand an existing RS485 system beyond the standard's 32-node limitation. The Black Box ICD102A can be used to connect equipment meant for a point-to-point RS422 4-wire interface to an RS485 2-wire multidrop system in factory automation, building automation, and process automation. It can be mounted using DIN Rail and can withstand operating temperatures of -40 to 176 degrees F (-40 to 80 C).
