Space-limited environments are no problem for the Axiomtek GOT5152T-832 fanless touch panel computer. Human-machine interface (HMI) computers have a tough job ahead of them: they need to withstand harsh work environments and fit in tight spaces all while having enough processing power to do hard work. This embedded computer packs a lot into its super slim, lightweight design. At just 2” (54.6 mm) thick and only 7 lbs., it's easy to place where it's needed.
The star of the show is the 15-inch LCD with a 420 nits bright LED backlight and resistive type touchscreen. The whole embedded computer doesn't extend much more than the screen itself, which is a comfortable size to give application content space to breathe.
Whether the programs your operation needs to run are on Windows or Linux, the GOT5152T-832 has you covered. It supports a dual-core 1.86 GHz Intel Atom CPU that's suited to handle multi-tasking use cases. The system supports up to 4 GB of RAM to manage applications. The panel PC brings a capable processor to industrial and retail settings thanks to its fanless cooling setup, featuring a heat-dissipating aluminum rear heat sink.
In addition to keeping the embedded computer's components at safe operating temperatures under normal conditions, the fanless cooling system helps the GOT5152T-832 stand up to unforgiving environmental conditions. Traditional computers that use fan-based cooling systems can drag in dust, debris, and moisture which may damage sensitive parts over time. Fanless cooling addresses the airflow vulnerability by using the panel PC's case to mitigate the heat. The HMI PC can run in ambient temperatures as high as 45°C even without airflow. The lack of cooling vents helps the device withstand relative humidity between 20 and 90 percent at 40°C. Additionally, swapping the 2.5-inch SATA hard drive for CompactFlash storage increases the touch panel's operational vibration range up to 2G at 5 to 500 Hz. Vibration resistant features are helpful when installing the device near heavy machinery.
