Axiomtek's ROBOX500 is a ROS 2 AMR controller tailored for demanding precise navigation and control applications in heavy-duty vehicles such as forklifts and road rollers - the next promising frontier for AMRs. The robotic control system is powered by the high-performance 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor (code name: Alder Lake P).

Axiomtek's ROBOX500 is the first AMR controller in the X86 architecture with the GMSL interface on the market, providing a more stable and longer distance for image transmission, optimizing the data processing and ensuring the precision of working action. The ROBOX500 has rich I/O, such as two M12-type LANs, four M12-type USB ports, two CAN, four RS-232/422/485 and 16-CH DI and 8-CH DO to meet the demands of AMR. It also provides a variety of M.2 slots to support Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules, 5G modules, AI modules and NVMe. Additionally, the wide power input can range from 9 - 60 VDC and the wide operating temperature is from -20°C to +70°C. It can withstand vibration up to 3Grms to withstand challenging operating conditions. The rugged AMR controller boasts powerful Intel Iris Xe Graphics with 96 execution units, ideal for light AI inference. It also features an M.2 Key M 2242 slot for expanding AI capabilities with an optional AI module. From the mechanism, every detail on the ROBOX500 is designed for heavy-duty, including longer and thicker cooling fins, and M12-type lockable connectors.

The ROBOX500 bundles with the Linux Ubuntu 22.04 LTS OS environment. In addition, it supports the Axiomtek AMR Builder Package to foster fast time-to-market and considerable total cost of ownership. Leveraging Axiomtek's AMR Builder Package alongside DigiHub for AMR, sensor kits, and development support services, users can efficiently advance AMR development without being back to square one. The comprehensive software package includes ROS 2 nodes with docker images, a web-based management system, AprilTag and shape detection, precise positioning, and obstacle avoidance.
