Computers used as information and SCADA systems in industrial and retail settings have very different requirements and expectations than those found in an office setting.  Human machine interface (HMI) computers like the Axiomtek GOT5100T-832 take advantage of design techniques like fanless cooling, rugged touch screen and IP65 / NEMA 4 protection to adapt to harsh conditions.  Enclosure innovations like a sealed plastic front bezel protect electronics from the elements.  And, the patented plastic and aluminum back chassis dissipates heat from the rear to keep the system running at a safe operating temperature. Because of its tough design, this embedded PC withstands operating temperatures between 0°C and 50°C.  And, it stands up to relative humidity between 20 and 90 percent at 40°C. Switching the touch panel's storage from hard disk drive to CompactFlash eliminates all moving parts to give the system a 2G between 5 and 500 Hz vibration protection rating.  Best of all, this touch computer is very affordable.

The GOT5100T-832 is built to go where other panel PCs can't fit thanks to its compact form factor. At just 45.8mm thick, this HMI doesn't require a deep base to install it.  At 1.8kg in total weight, it easily mounts on a panel, wall, VESA arm, or desktop stand without requiring a substantial amount of support. The 10.4-inch SVGA LCD display and small footprint is a huge benefit for small spaces and locations that need to be away from traffic. The panel PC is ideal for kiosks and ticket stations because it only requires a power cable to be operational.

Take advantage of the built-in internal WLAN antenna in the GOT5100T-832 by plugging in the optional wireless LAN card. While the embedded computer includes twin Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired connectivity, your operation may need to install the device out of wired-network reach. That's when the wireless card option comes into play. Depending on the card, the panel PC can network through either Wi-Fi or 4G cellular connections.
