With the Westward Sales WSTK-DA directional antenna kit, you can extend the WiFi range of your Hunter Hydrawise HCC irrigation controller. Connect the HCC to an access point or hotspot in places where the HCC default antenna cannot reach.
The kit includes two high-gain directional antennas - one antenna connects to the HCC and the other to your WiFi access point or cellular gateway, such as the WSTK-HU.
This directional antenna kit is designed for point-to-point 2.4 GHz WiFi wireless connectivity. The focused 20 dBi narrow beamwidth is ~18° horizontally and vertically. The maximum distance may vary based on obstacles within the antenna path. Walls, trees, and other objects will recreate interference. The best signal is when a “direct line of sight” path between the HCC antenna and the down-range antenna is maintained between both antennas. The WSTK-DA kit was tested under ideal conditions with an HCC and WSTK-HU gateway and achieved communication at 0.89 miles.
