Poynting HELI-31 Directional Antenna for Mine and Tunnel Applications

The HELI-31 is an ultra-wideband antenna, radiating in one direction (unidirectional), which makes it ideal for coverage from 1710 - 7200 MHz. It is typically used for the deployment of IoT within a tunnel to provide telemetry and mine automation. It is available in both Left Hand Circular (LHC) & Right-Hand Circular (RHC) polarized antenna elements to provide optimal decorrelation within a MIMO deployment when using BRKT-45, resulting in optimum performance. This wide-band helical antenna propagates around tunnel bends in a non-line of sight scenario and provides immunity to many of the signal disrupting objects such as trains and drilling machinery which appear to obscure the tunnel.

The HELI-31 is part of a series of Mini-HELI antennas by Poynting. These antennas may be mini in size but offer medium to high gain, which makes these antennas ideal for mining tunnels where IoT/M2M connectivity is deployed and can also be used for coverage into the stopes.
