Poynting’s GPS-1 is a small profile antenna for use in the IoT/M2M and transportation markets where accurate positioning and timing is required. The enclosure for the active GPS antenna keeps implementation as simple as possible with a wide variety of easy mounting options. The GPS/GLONASS system frequency band is 1575.42 MHz /1602 MHz and is operational at temperatures as low as -40°C.
This new and improved version (GPS-1-V3) supports an extended voltage range of 2.7–5 V, compared to 2.7–3.3 V for the GPS V2 module, providing greater flexibility for system integration. This expanded range allows for greater flexibility in power supply design, simplifies integration and ensures compatibility with a broader range of systems. It also features an improved sealing design, including a silicone rubber base seal and an additional spigot seal. These enhancements provide superior protection against environmental ingress, improve long-term reliability, operation in harsh conditions, and extend product lifespan, all while preserving ease of installation and full compatibility with existing mounting solutions.
