This embedded computer utilizes a fanless cooling mechanism to eliminate the primary vulnerability most computers deal with in industrial settings: airflow-based cooling allows debris and humid air to work into the internal components which causes eventual breakdowns. Extreme temperatures and high-humidity are no problem for this touch panel.  It manages operating temperatures between -10°C through 50°C and handles humidity between 20 through 90 percent at 40°C. High-vibration installations up to 2G at 10 to 500 Hz are no problem either if the system uses the optional CFast data storage instead of a traditional hard disk drive.

High power demands quickly rule out embedded computer options on both availability and upkeep costs; fortunately, the GOT3177T-834 uses a low-power, quad-core 2 GHz Intel Celeron J1900 processor with integrated Intel HD Graphics to bring plenty of power to the job. The four cores make the processor well-suited for multi-threaded apps and multi-tasking use cases. The system supports up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and the whole operation runs at a mere 50 watts.

The panel PC is also equipped with dual high-speed USB 3.0 ports for performance heavy peripherals and twin USB 2.0 ports for less demanding uses.
