The R2000-4L is a rugged cellular router offering state-of-the-art mobile connectivity and Category 4 speed for machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It is equipped with dual Fast Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi, and two SIM card slots. An IEEE 802.3at compatible power device (PD) option allows it to accept Power over Ethernet (PoE) through one of its WAN ports.
The R2000 hosts a small but powerful operating system called RobustOS. It's a Linux-based platform self-developed by Robustel and used across all of their routers. It includes extensive networking and router protocols like VPN, DHCP, NAT, VLAN, and SMS. By establishing a VPN tunnel between Robustel's Cloud Manager Service (CMS) and field sensors, you can diagnose issues and collect information remotely. The link manager detects link faults and automatically recovers by rerouting data to Wi-Fi or another port. A rich selection of Apps may be loaded into the R2000 to meet specific communication requirements. These may be modified or new ones created using Robustel's software development kit (SDK) with C, Python, or Java.
