The NP5100 serial device server from 3onedata converts multiple serial ports to a standard LAN interface. It allows legacy serial equipment to receive and transmit data over a modern network. Each serial port may be configured to be RS-232, RS-485, or RS-422. The unit is equipped with two Fast Ethernet copper ports and offers 16 or 32 serial ports. The serial server supports multiple network protocols, such as TCP, UDP, TELNET, ARP, ICMP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNTP, DNS, and DHCP. It also includes complete management functions, including access control, rapid configuration, remote upgrading. Each serial port supports four TCP or UDP session connections, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP Server, UDP Client work modes, TELNET, WEB, and SSHD access modes. A supplied user-friendly configuration tool that runs on Microsoft Windows manages and configures the unit, allowing immediate and straightforward operation.
The 19” rackmount fanless enclosure comes with an optional OLED. It displays system status information and permits a user to input IP addresses and other parameters. Rugged components enable the system to stand up to wide temperature swings, voltage irregularities, EMC, and other hazards found in industrial settings. It passed rigorous IEC, CE, and FCC testing.
