Reliable Media Converters with SNMP Management

A media converter connects two different networking protocols or physical connectors. It is common to interconnect two dissimilar Ethernet cables - a fiber optic cable to an existing copper one. Industrial media converters support protocols such as Fast and Gigabit Ethernet, WDM, VDSL2, multi-mode, and single-mode fiber. A managed media converter has a built-in Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). SNMP enables network administrators to configure, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot their network IP devices. These devices feature web management, port configuration, bandwidth control, Q-in-Q double tag, jumbo frames, flow control, trap management, alarms, traffic statistics, VLAN, remote access, and a whole lot more.

Managed media converters are available in Gigabit (10/100/1000TX) Ethernet speeds. Select multimode, singlemode, and WDM for the fiber optic interface. Choose from small standalone devices. Or, when high port densities are required, choose plug-in media converter cards that fit into a 19” rack mount chassis like the FCU-RACK16S. Extended operating temperature is optional on several models. Easy install and configure; our selection is designed to fulfill nearly every managed converter need.
